Progressive Die Stamping of a Carbon Steel Washer for the Utility Vehicle Industry
This featured progressive die stamping carbon steel washer was manufactured by Spartanburg Steel Products for use within a utility vehicle application. We started the process with a customer-supplied print and a 2D CAD model, making sure all client specifications were strictly followed. We used progressive die stamping to stamp the washer from AISI 050 AK steel, conducting in-process, full, dimensional testing. Throughout stamping we held tight tolerances, down to +.30/-.00 of an inch, with a flatness tolerance of .1 mm. The final washer measured 30.00 mm in outside diameter and 10.80 mm in inside diameter, with a material thickness of 2.00mm. After we had successfully met all our clients requirements, we packaged and delivered the order.
